The name Trạm is not just a word; it is our philosophy. Inspired by the rhythm of transit platforms and street-side coffee stalls, Trạm was founded to be more than a beverage counter. Egg coffee was born in Hà Nội in the 1940s, pairing strong slow-dripped coffee with a rich, custard-like egg cream layer. Over generations, it became one of Vietnam's most cherished café rituals — an indulgence savored on small stools along vibrant city streets.
At Trạm in San Jose, we set out to honor that soulful tradition while tailoring it for modern California tastes. We brew bold Vietnamese coffee using traditional phin drippers, then crown each drink with our signature whipped creams — egg cream, salted cream, and delicate foams — that are lighter, smoother, and unmistakably Trạm.
Beyond our coffee line, our menu features handcrafted fruit teas, organic matcha, and freshly baked bánh mì, creating a complete stopover experience for all times of day.
